Fight the Power: How Hip Hop Changed the World produced by BBC Studios Specialist Factual Productions has won an RTS Award at this years award show.

Chromium composer Thomas Farnon wrote the score for the four-part music documentary that aired on BBC Two in January 2023.

The series was executive produced by Hip Hop legend, Chuck D, and his producing partner, Lorrie Boula and tells the story of “the relationship between politics and the Hip Hop movement, recounting the origins of the revolutionary art form through first-hand accounts and charting the journey of how Hip Hop became a cultural phenomenon, against a backdrop of social and political American history.”

In total, the BBC won 21 awards across 30 categories at Tuesday's RTS ceremony, which was hosted by comedian Tom Allen.
